Essentially, they manage the land and secure leases so that they can drill for oil and gas
Typically, a Landman’s job is to negotiate and finalize contracts with landowners who hold mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, build housing for workers (man camps), supervise the setup of excavation machinery, and the drilling of the well site itself, especially in remote locations.

They are also, in part, fixers, problem solvers, and facilitators. I love this show, a good and different story that keeps your attention.
Another tough guy, a tough life from Sheridan Smith and always a good theme song
Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy is great and I love learning more about how the oil industry works. I’m hooked and some strong characters, Jon Hamm so great and Demi Moore as his oil baron wife, are inspiring as well as beautiful.
I hope we don’t have to wait years for another series
I only have Paramount to watch their stuff and I appreciate that this show is heading towards a show that will surpass Yellowstone. Billy Bob’s Tommy is definitely a better actor or on par with John Dutton.
